RE: Macrovison affecting DVD signal going directly into TV?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply

The TV`s long out of warranty, but other than this one thing it works
perfectly.

Don`t suppose you remember any more details on this article, or what
the problem with the TV was?

Cheers,

Greg

Yellow - Video in
White - Audio in [stereo]

Don`t know what a scart connection is.

Macrovison affecting DVD signal going directly into TV?

I just bought an NEC NDV-22R DVD player and plug it directly into my Phillips TV via the RCA video socket. (on the back of the tv)

All is fine except when movies are playing, the brightness goes up and down every second or so.

From my limited looking around on the Internet it looks like this might be a symptom of Macrovision.
But thought that wasn`t an issue on TV`s, just VCR`s

I plugged the DVD into my VCR`s video in and got the same problem.

Any ideas?

nec ndv-22r Macrovision hack?

Hi All,

Anyone got a macrovision hack for the nec ndv-22r ?

Just bought it and the bloody thing seems to flicker even when plugged into the back of my TV :-(
