yes i know for sure there is a disk available to upgrade it to all region, a shop near were i live is selling them with the multi-region option.

i know for sure there is a sofware update disk available, a shop that sells these where i live can upgrade them to play all region, also the sd220 model.
so i would advise not getting the chip, sounds too expensive to me.
