Help needed

I bought a portable dvd player a panasonic DVD-P10EN, it says on it region 3 and will only play dvd`s that are from America, can anyone help please.

Bought sharp Dv-Nc55 vcr/dvd cobination, I want to watch region 1 dvd`s but it will not allow me, It is a region 2 player but says it is ntsc can anyone help me with this.
