RE: Sony NS300/400 hack e.t.c

Despite the efforts of one or two determined volunteers it has not been possible to demonstrate this hack using a Palm and OmniRemote yet.

Perhaps the Pronto is simply better at reproducing the IR signals than OmniRemote.

If the situation changes I`ll post here. ATM it`s a Pronto or a ch*p.

RE: Sony NS300/400 hack e.t.c

I`m not able to test it on this player, or any other.

If you have a Pronto give it a shot, if it doens`t work it
_probably_ won`t do any harm.

If you kill your DVD player it`s only your problem. ;-)

Its the same player, I just missed out the letters when writing.

You guessed that DVP is "DVd Player" didn`t you? ;-)

Email me for the CCF file.

Sony NS300/400 hack e.t.c

I have a Pronto CCF file which allows you to IR hack one of Sony`s new DVD players _without_ renting or buying an over-priced remote contol.

I`ve had 2 brave volunteers independently confirm this for me, I don`t have a Pronto of my own to play with.

Sorry Steve, you do not _need_ a "special" remote control.

Also, the codes are available in OmniRemote format too. I`ve not been able to test those with OmniRemote yet.

If you want to have a go with your new Sony DVD player, email me for the file.
