I am going to the US next month and am thinking of getting some R1 DVDs (hopefully they are cheaper than in the UK).What I would like to know, what is the personal allowance allowed for bringing goods back from holiday before HM Customs `ask` you to pay tax?

Argos have this for only £139.50. It is not in their current catalogue as it is a `subsitute` for the ALBA 103 and shares the same catalogue number. Is this DVD player any good or is it cheaper elsewhere?
Yelo 800 is a v. good budget machine
I received my Yelo this morning as promised. Seeing that it is a multi-region budget DVD player, I didn`t expect the picture quality to be as good as say a SONY but I was amazed at how close it compared. It even made my VCD copy of The Rock look better. I am very happy with my purchase. It really annoys me when people slag off the so called budget machines. For example admitedly the Yelo does default to Subtitles but you can turn that off using the button on the remote. How hard is that? At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Don`t expect to get a Porsche for the same price as Skoda.

I gave InterDVD a call this morning because I had ordered one back at the end of August. They said that the stock was coming in this Wednesday therefore I should receive delivery this Thur/Fri. Give them a call. BTW the second batch (due 23 October) is nearly sold out so pre-order NOW if you want one

I should be able to answer that question when i get my Yelo 800 at the end of the month. Apparently they are still waiting for a batch to arrive.
RE: Cheapest dvd player..
The cheapest is the Alba A103 DVD Player sold @ Toys R Us for £139.
It had a very good write up in one magazine and is Region 1 & 2 ready straight out of the box with no modification needed. I have heard that it will also play mp3 cd-r`s although can anyone confirm this?
