Im at my witts end - DECCA
hello im at my witts end with the decca 2110
i brought one last week and it plays brilliantly. Probalem is that when i am playin the dvd u can hear the laser accessing the disc through the speakers. The player is very quiet mechanically though.
I took it back and exchanged it. I now have the same problem and also another one. If u look at the lcd display on the decca the left hand side is bright and the righthand side is darker, and it flickers randomly?
The noise interference is apparent when u turn the volume down or mute the decca. Can anyone else try this on theres? im not sure wether its me being really picky or a knackered player again.
i have tried changing scart leads and connecting it to my hifi and not using the tv speakers but its just the same? anyone got any ideas?
RE: Not sure of the problem, so posted it here. Locking picture
hello
i have a decca 2110 and have just borrowed swordfish reg2 off a mate. i to am having problems with the picture locking up and skipping. everything else i play does not do it..
DECCA 2110 HELP
I just brought the above player upon reccommendation from people on this site. I have disabled macrovision and also made the player multiregion I am however having two main problems with it:
1. During playback of american pie two (region 1) i get a frequent skip in the playback whereby the footage jerks.
2. During playback of any region disc i get strange noises in the sound. You can actually hear the laser reading the disc through the speakers. I have tried connecting the sound through the hifi, tv and computer. Incidently if the volume is turned to 0 you can still here the noise of the laser.
Has anyone had similar experiances? or should this go back to the shop.
Thanks in advance
Nath
RE: HELP WITH DECCA 2110 DVD PLAYER
thanks for the reply mate.. just one more question.. how much of a degrade in pic quality are we talkin? is it going to be annoyingly unwatchable? or about the same as when u connect a vcr via rf rather then scart.
HELP WITH DECCA 2110 DVD PLAYER
I am looking at purchasing the decca 2110 dvd player. i know that there is a crack to disable the macrovision and multiregion software. My problem is that i have a tv with no scart socket. at present i have two video recorders which are scarted together and then conencted to the tv via an rf cable (coax). if i disable the macrovision on the dvd player is it possible for me to scart the dvd player into a vcr and thus watch the dvd player on the tv without a scart connection to the tv. thankyou
