it could be that the output on the scart is not RGB, but Y,Cr,Cb as it syncs on the green input and the Cr has no sync.

Mitsubishi BD30 Black Diamond - whats it like
whats the picture quality like? does it play region 1 dvds and tricky dvds ok? has it got RGB output in the scart? is there a way to switch macrovision off apart from adding a circuit to remove it? cheers .

i assume you cant switch the Macrovsion off?
