Does the philips hack work on the 701 model? Does this hack disable macrovision and if not, how`s it done?

Philips 701..Help/ Advice needed!!!

Can the 701 be changed to multi region by using just the remote and does the philips hack work on this model?? Will this hack disable the macrovision as well, if not then how is it done. many thanks.
