RE: NEW SCAN SC-3000 - Just received mine.
Hi Nilesh,
I guess you work for Scan? Isn`t this a strange way to give customer support? What will happen to all the other customers who have bought a SC-3000? Scan should have all the customers details after all and there still isn`t anything posted on their main web page as the support person mentioned their would be.
My email adress is biman[at]moc.emani
Thanks,
Robert
RE: NEW SCAN SC-3000 - Just received mine.
Dustybin have you heard of other stories that makes you say this?
Last year I remember that the SC-2000 had excellent reviews and a friend of mine bought one and he is very happy with it and it`s never given him any problems. I heard that for a while at the end of last year they couldn`t keep up with the orders of the SC-2000 and ran out of stock.
I have decided the hiss is not acceptable at all and am sending it back.

RE: NEW SCAN SC-3000 - Just received mine.
Just received my SCAN SC-3000 (AVR3000 on the book) this morning too.
I am a little concerned with the hiss in the speakers and was hoping Dan could comment on it, if he has tried his out yet.
I find that when playing a DVD/CD/CDR there is a constant hiss coming from the speakers. When the volume is set to the minimum, it`s not there at all, from 1-6 there is only a slight hiss, something I might expect, then from 6-8 an intermittent louder hiss, and from there up this hiss constantly. It`s not loud but noticeable at the beginning of a music track for example. I am wondering if this is just a poor quality amp or if this machine has a fault. Any comments?
Thanks,
Robert
