Synopsis:
Three children, Pauline, Petrova and Posy Fossil are orphans adopted by an explorer called Gum (Richard Griffiths). They are raised by Gum`s niece (Emilia Fox) and nurse (Victoria Wood). Pauline (Emma Watson) intends to become an actress. Petrova (Yasmin Paige) wants to become an aviator and Posy (Lucy Boynton) sets her sights on becoming a ballerina. However, when Gum disappears, the family struggle to make ends meet.
