Review of Little Britain - The only game in the village
Introduction
I shall try and avoid endlessly quoting Little Britain during this review, but apologies if a few slip out (matron!)
This is the second Little Britain DVD game to hit our streets. It follows similar lines to the first game in that you move around the country playing various games featuring characters from the series. In this game we get questions from or based around the following residents:-
Anne (who hums tunes for you to guess)
Daffyd Thomas (gay themed questions)
Emily Howard (hosting a round called tranny or fanny)
Vicky Pollard (celebrity round)
Lou & Andy (questions on Andy`s weird habits)
Marjorie Dawes (fat fighters questions)
Linda Flint (rudeness about the way people look)
Bubbles De Vere (more celebrity questions)
Video
A good widescreen transfer, and this is one of the few DVD games that has had a bit of budget allocated to it in order to create all the new material here.
Audio
A standard DD2.0 stereo soundtrack which does all that it needs to.
Conclusion
Do you enjoy trivia? Do you enjoy quizzes? Do you enjoy DVD games? Do you like Little Britain? If so, you`ll like this. There`s a good mix of questions based around the show, as well as some more general trivia in places. It`s well thought through and well put together.
An amusing DVD game that will appeal to fans of the series. There`s plenty of new material here, and nothing recycled from existing material, so it`s good value in that sense.
This could have turned into a cheap and cynical cash-in opportunity, but someone has lavished a little care and attention on it and made a good little DVD game with the quality ingredients provided.
If you`re not a fan of DVD games, then you still might not be a convert, but it`s all harmless fun.
