Synopsis:
Mike Leigh`s class struggle comedy of manners concentrates on the intertwined lives of Cyril, a left-wing bike messenger, his girlfriend, Cyril`s mother, who lives in the last council house in her street, her appalling yuppie neighbours, Cyril`s desperately consumerist sister and her wide-boy husband.
