Synopsis:
Absurdly comic, highly kinetic, at times shockingly emotional, Three Kings begins when the Gulf War is over.

Amid the partying and confusion, four American soldiers (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze), determined to take home more than sand fleas, so go off into the Iraqi desert to find millions in stolen Kuwaiti gold. They are plunged into the heart of a democratic uprising that spins the day, and their lives, out of control.

David O. Russell`s unique tapestry of humour, violence and history makes Three Kings one of the best movies of the year.

i have watched this film about 4 times now......and the last time i watched it with my parents.....never watch a film u like with your parents.....for some reason the film seems rubbisher than it actually is.....anyhows..i reckon the last hour of Three Kings is really quite normal and thus boring...the first half of the film is very ace. I like the way the film got me thinking about whether war and comedy should go together......hmmm.....and the film seemed not half as smart as it seemed when i had seen it for the first time.......

so....good film, but don`t watch it more than 2 times.....or u could just watch the first half of the film forever.....

extras.......i don`t know......dvd extras......i now find them sorta annoying......i can never be arsed to listen to the commentaries or watch the natty films......i reckon that they should make dvds cheaper and have 2 versions of each film....1 with extras....1 without ( which is cheaper )......

i really like the bleaching effect that is going on too......and the music at the beginning.....Snap - The Power....coool song...brought it all back......a good bit of nostalgia

enough...

This was the 1st disc I`ve watched on my sparkly new Pioneer DV444s and what a revelation it was! Superb picture, great movie, it sounded as good as it looked and the features were reasonably interesting too. All in all a good 3hrs of entertainment.

A brilliant emotionally charged, modern war movie. Once the Gulf War is over, Four American soldiers (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze) who have just finished their time find a map to a place that has Gold which Saddam stole from Kuwait and has stashed away in a village. They go to this village and find that Saddam`s war of terror in Iraq continues because not all Iraqis are/were on Saddams side. These people are persecuted by Saddam and denied basic living supplies. The soldiers then pity the Iraqis and decide to help them as well as taking the gold..........
A good movie that has one main problem in that everything is too Americanised. The recent war on Iraq, shows that what happened in this movie can never really happen. The movie attempts to bring in realism but with the humour and americanisation of the movie, It failed in this. The movie ends up being an action movie.
The visuals and audio are really outstanding. The stunning picturesque landscapes and the loud and realistic gun battles are displayed well.
There are some great extras that dwelve into the making of the movie. There are some easter eggs, a commentary, trailer as well as most of the usual stuff. A good package extrawise.
A good movie that had potential to be great but failed. A great disc with plenty for fans of the movie. Worth getting.
