An ordinary "damn, those little cars can really do nice tricks" movie and an average attempt for a remake of the classic movie.
Nothing really shines in this movie (other than the neat car tricks) - the acting is average (eve Norton!), and the script - well, that too.
The video transfer is good. There are no visible compression signs and the transfer`s color palette is nicely balanced.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good, too. As you can expect from this kind of a movie, the surrounds are constantly active during the numerous car chase scenes.
The menus are nicely animated with sound.
The extras include a 45-minute behind the scenes featurette, 6 deleted scenes and a totally non-funny bloopers reel.
Bottom line - a "wham, bam, who gives a damn" movie. Rent it once, if you REALLY have to.
