Synopsis:
Cecile (Virginie Ledoyen), fresh faced and free spirited, has arrived in Paris looking for adventure and excitement. In trouble after an attempted armed robbery goes wrong, Cecile meets hard-nosed and respectable Michel (Gerard Lanvin), a distinguished lawyer who enjoys the millionaire lifestyle that his success has afforded him. To the bemusement of his wife (Carole Bouquet) and colleagues he agrees to represent her in court, a decision that turns his life upside down.
After using his skills to get Cecile acquitted, the pair embark on a passionate affair. But rather than finding a new lease of life, he finds a jealous ex-boyfriend (Guillaume Canet) who refuses to give Cecile up and threatens to destroy Michel`s career in the process. This is the story of two opposing worlds that collide. These two worlds don`t move at the same pace, don`t listen to the same music, don`t sleep the same hours, don`t share the same dreams, but share the same feelings in love.
