Synopsis:
Danger. Power. Seduction. Welcome to Las Vegas 1973. Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci star in director Martin Scorsese`s riveting look at how blind ambition, white-hot passion and 24-karat greed toppled an empire. In an era of over-the-top glitz, Sam "Ace" Rothstein (De Niro), is riding high as front man for the Mob`s multi-billion dollar Las Vegas operation. To protect their "investment", the bosses send in Ace`s boyhood pal - hot-headed enforcer Nicky Santoro (Pesci).
It`s a winning hand: Ace`s brain and Nicky`s muscle - until sexy wildcard Ginger McKenna (Stone), turns up the heat. This gripping fact-based tale boasts extraordinary performances, a sizzling soundtrack and a dizzying look beneath the glamorous facade, beyond the closed doors and behind the eyes of the men and women whose fortunes - and lives - were made and lost with the roll of a dice.

Las Vegas in the 1970s is the setting for "Casino", A story of mafia, power, money and violence.
The transfer from video to 2.35;1 disc is exellent giving the movie a crisp clear picture.
Audio wise "Casino" is polished up with a great sounding Dolby Digital.
This film is one of the best their is about argainised crime in the 20th century,Casino plays along at a quick pase never moving away from the story its telling this keeps you entertained from start to finish.
With such a good movie like this "Casino"gets a deserved special edition, i found the edition diapointing but not garbage.
The commontery is the worst feature,I found it boring and lazy with little input on the film,Sharon Stone is plan annoying she just goes on and on..... about herself mostly.I must say its one of the worst commentery tracks ive heaed??
Disc 2 contains a few"look inside"featurettes including interviws with members of the cast and crew,(Very little from De Niro and none from Pesci.)costom designs ,locations used ,production designs and some behind the scene fotage. The outtakes(their are only 4)are funny but in short supply. The best parts on the special edition i think are the two documenarty`s about the mob and Las Vegas, including the story of"Lefty"imself"with which"Casino" is based on.these are good and very informative and with out them the 2 disc.S E would have been dull.
