Synopsis:
Every culture has one - the horrible monster fuelling young children`s nightmares. But for Tim (Barry Watson), the boogeyman still lives in his memories as a creature that devoured his father 16 years earlier. Is the boogeyman real? Or did Tim make him up to explain why his father abandoned his family? Your Opinions and Comments
Well, it`s indeed not a brilliant horror. It`s at most an average scary B movie with a very simple storyline and rather lame performances by the cast.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression sings and the color palette helps create a spooky atmosphere.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. The surrounds are constantly used and help create the famous "scares".
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a behind the scenes featurette, 9 deleted scenes (including a pitiful alternate ending) and some explanations about the special effects.
Bottom line - a very average movie, which can be semi-enjoyed only if considered as such. Rent it, at most.
