Review of UFC Ultimate Knockouts 2
Introduction
UFC is the "Ultimate Fighting Championship", and this looks like a clip show originally broadcast on US TV between the various PPV UFC events. UFC is not quite as bad as WWE/F/etc. wrestling, because at least these fights look real. The rules are distinctly lacking, and the idea is that 2 people fight it out until one can`t continue. The fighting styles vary but usually combine some form of wrestling/boxing/judo/ju jitsu/etc.
For those of you interested, here are the fights contained here:-

Video
A full frame transfer converted from an NTSC source (as originally broadcast in the US). It all looks ok, and just like your average TV DVD. There`s not really much more to say about it. Does the job, doesn`t do much more.
Audio
A DD2.0 stereo soundtrack which brings you some commentators who really believe in this stuff and also some rock music to give that little edge. Doesn`t really work for me.
Features
Nothing. Thankfully.
Conclusion
Not quite as repulsive to watch as WWE/F/etc. (or its clones), but I still can`t see why anyone would want to watch this any more. When it first appeared over in the UK, there was a novelty value as an antidote to the soap opera of American wrestling, after the demise of the UK sport. But at the end of the day UFC is just people beating each other up. It`s not really entertainment and it`s not really sport either. Why would you want to watch people punching and kicking each other until someone gets hurt?
Don`t buy this, and then maybe this whole thing will go away.
