I am reviewing the DTS version of Jaws 25th Anniversary Edition.
It is the first DTS disk that I know of that contains lots of extras , just as many as most DD disks.
The sound as expected with DTS is excellent , the music is powerful and the action parts still make you jump even if you know whats about to happen.
This is what DVD is all about, real home cinema experience.
The picture too is very good and does not show its age one bit.
This has to be the all time best version of Jaws.
The only down side is if you have seen the Deep Blue Sea then the shark at the end of Jaws looks a little outdated.
But apart from that it is a must for all dvd collectors.
The ultimate DTS DVD.

I didn`t understand the concept of this film at all. A big grey fish attacking people? What? Why did no-one listen to the lifeghuard guy when he said there was a shark (whatever a shark is)? Silly.

You know Spielberg used to make films as good this one and Close encounters. Once again the alaising problems on the disc cry out for an ectra disc for features in future...
