Review of Hero And The Terror

1 / 10

Introduction

This is another film in the seemingly interminable ones made by Chuck Norris. Chuck is best known these days for advertising the Total Gym on the shopping channel but this offering from 1988 sees him kicking ass rather than tightening his buns.

Starting with the title it is perhaps best to explain that The "Hero" is Danny O` Brien who still has nightmare about his fight with the serial killer Simon Moon. Moon is captured but escapes from prison, apparently falling to his death. When a supposedly copycat killer strikes it is up to O` Brien to find out the truth.

Video

If this had been filmed on a winter`s day at three o`clock in Vladivostok it could not look drearier. It`s just plain awful.

Audio

Having sat through this film I think it would have been greatly improved by being silent or not made at all.

Features

Thank God there are none.

MGM catalogue with the words "why ?" and "waste of plastic" added here.

Conclusion

Making a new Frisbee game out of all the Chuck Norris films is really the only thing that should be done. Words cannot begin to explain how tedious and depressing this waste of my life was. Having watched the first twenty minutes in increasing despair I vowed that writing the review would be the last time this disc would ever darken my DVD player.

It is a waste of plastic please don`t buy it or rent it or even borrow it-let it lie.
