Synopsis:
In Tim Burton`s Big Fish, Ewan McGregor and Albert Finney play teller of tall-tales Edward Bloom. Bloom has always been spinning yarns about his oversized life as a young man, when his wanderlust led him on an unlikely journey from a small-town in Alabama, around the world, and back again. His mythic exploits dart from the delightful to the delirious as he weaves epic tales about giants, blizzards, a witch and conjoined-twin lounge singers. With his larger-than-life stories, Bloom charms almost everyone he encounters except for his estranged son Will (Billy Crudup). When his mother, Sandra (Jessica Lange), tries to reunite them, Will must learn how to separate fact from fiction as he comes to terms with his father`s great feats and great failings.

Your Opinions and Comments

What a magnificent movie - both visually and content-wise!
Tim Burton tells the wonderful story of a storyteller. As simple is that. But what makes this movie a true gem is not only the life of the storyteller (the excellent McGregor), but the way Burton portrays it.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs to be seen and the colors are highly saturated. The visuals in the movie are truly spectacular and have "Burton" written all over them.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good, too. The surrounds are nicely used and create a magical sound envelope.
The menus are beautifully animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary by Burton, a trivia game, a detailed behind the scenes featurette and explanations about the special effects.
Bottom line - one of the most charming movies I`ve watched in a long, long time. Highly recommended.
