Synopsis:
In a post-apocalyptic future two rival schools of martial arts rise to prominence - the schools of the North Star and the Southern Cross. After murdering Ryuken (Malcolm McDowell), the Fist of the North Star, Lord Shin (Costas Mandylor), leader of the Southern Cross, sets himself up as a tyrannical dictator intent on ruling what is left of civilisation.
In an attempt to negate the prophecy that the heir to the title "Fist of the North Star" will one day restore the Earth from wasteland to paradise, Shin and his men ambush Ryuken`s son, Kenshiro (Gary Daniels), kidnapping his lover Julia (Isako Washio) and leaving Kenshiro for dead. But, with the prophecy already beginning to fulfil itself, Kenshiro miraculously survives the attack and sets out to avenge his father`s death and to claim his birthright as Fist of the North Star.
