Your Opinions and Comments
OK, so it`s a sci-if series with a twist, with a lot of black humor, but hey - space and cowboys? Come on. There`s only THAT many episodes that can look and sound the exact same.
Half of the characters are totally flat with no developments whatsoever during the series (Preacher in particular, but not only him).
And hey - this is by far the stupidest theme song I`ve ever heard! "Can`t take the sky from me". Oh, really? I think I can, actually.
The video transfer is good. There are no compression signs and the special effects are more than decent.
The DD 2.0 soundtrack is ok. The series could`ve benefited from a full blown DD 5.1 soundtrack, but like so many things in the series - it`s missing.
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include several commentaries, a behind the scenes featurette, 4 deleted scenes, a gag reel, a music video and an audition.
Bottom line - while not that bad, this series is good in several episodes and average (at most) in the rest of them. I just might give "Serenity" a try. Rent it.
10/10!
