Your Opinions and Comments
There`s practically everything in the movie - racism, romance, comedy, crime and even religion.
The cast does a great job in portraying various characters, who may look funny or even grotesque nowadays.
The video transfer is good. While there are a few compression signs (which can be noticed especially during the dark scenes), the picture is sharp and the colors are nicely saturated.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very nice. The surrounds are used occasionally, but the main emphasis is on the 50`s music, which is awesome.
The menus are nicely animated with sound.
The extras include a behind the scenes look (including interviews with the cast), some production notes, a deleted scene and a musical track (a great way to experience the music of the movie without the dialogue).
Bottom line - the 4th movie in Levinson`s Baltimore movies is a great nostalgic journey into the 50`s. Highly recommended.
