Your Opinions and Comments
The movie tells the tale of Sinbad, who is forced to choose between right and wrong throughout the movie ("Am I a thief or am I a hero?"). Alas, while the story is interesting at times, it`s quite predictable.
The video transfer is very good. While the animation is breathtaking at times, some compression signs can be spotted during the dark scenes. The combination of 2D and 3D hand-painted and CG is superb.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. The surrounds are used occasionally and give a nice atmosphere to the action scenes. The disc also include Hebrew and Italian soundtracks (both in DD 5.1) and a Bulgarian soundtrack (in DD 2.0).
Thankfully, there are no songs in the movie, Hurray!
The menus are beautifully animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary by the crew, a concept gallery, a behind the scenes look and quite a few interactive games and movies. the disc also includes some DVD-ROM features (games and activities).
Bottom line - a decent movie which looks almost great and sounds quite nice, packed on a terrific disc.
