Presence Of Mind (UK)

I totally disagree with the reviewer`s comments on this movie. In my opinion "Presence of Mind" is one superb movie. The camerawork and lighting are quiet superb, taking full advantage of a manfificent location. The acting is quite excellent with Lauren Bacall being quite outstanding. Having studied "The Turn of the Screw" and seen a number of versions of the classic I truly believe that this is the best to date. The child actors are also worthy of note handling the multi layered characters of Flora and Miles quite perfectly, no easy task for such young actors. The pacing and editing are also quite excellent. "The Turn of the Screw" is a very difficult subject, both to film and even to read in it`s original form. In this movie the director and cast have done a superb job, my congratulations to all concerned and my advice by this DVD, it is excellent.
