Didn`t know what to expect from this film, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Brilliant performances from Daniel Day Lewis & Leonardo de Caprio. Love Cameron Diaz but she seems slightly out of place in this film, but hey she`s a big name & gorgeous.

Cinematography is breathtaking.

It`s a bit gory in parts but stays within the bounds of watchability

The extras are superb giving an insight into the history of the gangs of new york, numerous interviews and even a walk around the set with the director.

A brilliant DVD, a brilliant film A musy have. Buy It.
