The plot of A Guy Thing definetly had the potential of becoming a really great comedy. Sadly the execution of the story was really quite poor and the ending seemed rushed. Jason Lee gets drunk at his bachelor party and wakes up next to a stripper, Julia Stiles. He is about to marry Selma Blair and so gets rid of the girl, and thats the end of that. Or so he thought. The girl turns out to be his fiancees cousin Becky. After more confrontations and encounters, Jason Lee begins to fall for Becky.......
Like I said, it sounds good on paper and there are some genuinely funny bits there but overall the movie looks rushed. The video is rich in colour and detail but on some dark scenes, the picture is somewhat lacklustre. The sound is decentish, about average for a new release, nothing to write home about. Surprisingly there are many special features packed into this dvd, which MGM call a special edition. There are some great featurettes, deleted scenes and trailers. A great set of extras, shame about the movie. I wouldnt say give it a miss as this is an average movie. Not worth buying but passes time and worth a rental
