Your Opinions and Comments
This is a film that was mainly made famous due to the fact that Brandon Lee died during filming, which was quite ironic seeing as he was playing a man who came back from the dead. The is a fantastic portrail of a man who comes back from the dead to get vengence on the men who killed him and his girlfriend.
Video
Very good print for a film that is nearly 10 years old now. Much of the film is very dark and this is shown up well on screen.
Audio
Has both a DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1 soundtrack, I don`t have a DTS decoder so I had to use the DD mix but this still packed a very good punch. This film also boasts a good soundtrack from such bands as The Cure and Nine Inch Nails.
Features
Disc 1
This has the widescreen version of the the film and the two 5.1 soundtracks on it.
There is also a load of deleted footage that has been put together as a montage. I`m not sure if i like the way this has been done as i prefer an explenation as to why the scenes where cut, but this is still good.
There are three extended scenes which don`t really add much to the story but are interesting to watch.
This disc also comes with a commentary from onw of the writers and one of the producers
Disc 2
This disc has a full-frame version of the film with a DD 2.0 soundtrack.
This disc all has a featurette which features interviews with some of the cast and is quite interesting.
There is a lengthy interview with James O`Barr who created the comic book. This is a very interesting and insightfull interview as to how the crow was created.
There is also the last on-screen interview with Brandon Lee this is good and some of the things he has to say are quite interesting.
The disc also includes a comparison between 16:9 and 4:3 along with a large selection of posters that where produced for the film. The is also some production designs and stroyboard sequences for some of the key scenes.
Overall
One of my favourite films is done justice with a very good collectors edition
