A cool military courtroom drama type movie. Yes there are elements of A Few Good Men within the movie but this movie has its own unique twists. Ashley Judd and Jim Caviezel are a happily married couple, with a baby on the way. One day, they are suddenly surrounded by millitary personnel and Jim is arrested. We then learn that Jim has been on the run from the millitary and has lied about his name. He is accused of gunning down civilians 15 years ago in El Salvador. Despite this, he tells his wife that he is innocent and still loves her. His wife seeing her husband break down into tears, promises to help him all she can. She teams up with millitary lawyer to help find the truth behind the set up.
The movie is visually beautiful and the dvd transfer is very clear and sharp. Almost pinpoint. One of the best looking transfers I have seen in a long time. The sound is clear and concise and the dramatic score is well distributed.
To round off a great dvd package, you have some good interesting extras. These are mainly short featurettes about the FBI and stuff that are relevant to the movie. I found the one about how to beat a lie detector particularly interesting!!
A highly watchable and entertaining legal thriller. Though its one that doesnt have a high rewatchability rating and its not one that i`d personally wanna own, it is a great disc and is a perfect disc to rent.
