Synopsis:
A sudden storm brings a shower of polluted rain and in a downtown cemetery something stirs six feet under the earth.

The bad news is the living dead are back. The worse news is that they haven`t had a decent meal in years... and as anybody will tell you there`s nothing greedy as a ghoul with a taste for human brains.

`Return Of The Living Dead` is a special effects masterpiece and has its rotting tongue firmly in its ghoulish green cheek.

Your Opinions and Comments

The picture quality is excellent with few problems. I`ve never seen this film look so good. Audio is only mono but is functional.

The first extra is an audio commentary from director Dan O` Bannon and production designer William Stout. Both men seem to be having a good time watching this film and remember plenty about the production. Next is a featurette, Designing The Dead, which looks at the designs for various zombies in the film. Dan O` Bannon and William Stout are interviewed for this featurette. Most of the information here is not mentioned in the commentary so there is no repeat of material. Next is a a very good storyboard and conceptual art gallery. Other extras include two trailers and ten TV spots.

Overall, this is a excellent film which is essential for any horror fan. MGM have done an excellent job with this disc and with a low retail price, it`s hard to say no.
