Family Guy Season 2 (UK)

Family Guy is a brilliant adult cartoon from the states , which has never been that famous in the UK,due to crappy showing times and cut episodes (The DVD is rated 15 but the episodes are shown early morning on channel 4 with a s*** load cut out).Anyone who has seen the new episodes of the simpsons will know that it is quickly going downhill,and family guy can easily take the simpsons place as the funniest cartoon around.The comedy is at times offensive and crude without being cruel and the surreal moments throughout the series will make you laugh , even if you dont know what the hell is going on.Sadly this DVD contains no special features apart from a episode which has never been shown as it was deemed too offensive for TV,due to its religous jokes.
The fact that there are no special features apart form the unseen episode is forgiven as this DVD contains 15 episodes over two disks.People who do like extras will be pleased to note that series three will contain many extras.
The picture quality is colourful and sharp and the sound also does the job.
Any fan of this brilliant series should buy this DVD as soon as possible as it is easily one of the best comedies around at the moment.

This is absolutley hilarious. Its aimed at adults so all of its adult themes are justifyable as its just silly humour all in the name of fun. This season is in many ways better than the first season. The head of the family is Peter Griffin and he is just basically an idiot and it is this that creates most of the jokes.
Im sure everyone will agree that Stewie is the highlight of the show. This matricidal baby is absolutely hilarious.
Great stuff.
The picture is crisp and clean and basically superb. The sound is a 2.0 and works well but nowadays I expect 5.1 with everything from the 90`s and 00`s
Extras, you get an unaired episode on top of the normal 14 episode season so its not bad. The R1 dvds are said to have some more extras so that might be worth waiting for.

Family Guy is back,and so much better than the first series.Once again the stories of the Griffen family are let loose on to dvd (2 discs,15 episodes),and they are so much more adult themed,funnier,ruder and wackier than other animated sitcoms aboult family life,let`s not give names,but i think you know which one i`m talking aboult,here`s a clue - Doh! The great thing aboult family guy is anything can happen,like talking babies and talking dogs,it`s so fresh and different! Another bonus to Family Guy is they don`t use annoying phrases,that can help you to hate a chracter, Doh! In this series Brian develops a peeing problem and Peter gets in touch with his feminine side, plus the dvd features the episode banned from british tv because of it`s content.Great! I know what your thinking, I saw Family Guy on tv and so did my friend, and we thought it was not very good, and your correct, but that is because they cut all the funniest and most hilarious parts off tv because they were too rude or adult themed,but they don`t do that with the dvd and that`s what makes Family Guy the perfect animated sitcom!

Buy Family Guy season 2 today,you`ll love it! There is only one thing left to say - Stay away from king of the hill,it sucks!!!
