Superjoint Ritual is one of Phil Anselmo`s side projects. The Pantera frontman has recruited members from several other bands to create this intense metal group. Influenced by Celtic Frost and Voivod among others, Phil & co released an album earlier this year called Use Once And Destroy. Having been impressed by the album, I decided to get the DVD. This is a very entertaining concert. My favourite tracks are It Takes No Guts, The Alcoholik, F++K Your Enemy and Everyone Hates Everyone. The concert is broken up with interview footage of the band.

The picture quality is pretty good considering it was shot on what looks like digital camcorders. Although it`s not good as
other concert DVDs I`ve seen, it is still very watchable and much better then VHS.

The sound quality is even better. The DTS track is the clear
winner. The sound is loud and clear but there doesn`t seem to be much surround usage. However, the majority of sound comes from the front speakers which is perfectly fine.

The extras are a bit lacking. First there is a 23 picture gallery which isn`t all that interesting. There are also two promo videos for The Alcoholik and F++K Your Enemy. So there`s no excuse for MTV2 not to play any Superjoint material!

Overall, this is a fine DVD from a band who I hope will be around for some while. While the extras are disappointing compared to other music DVDs I`ve seen, I`ve also seen DVDs with no extras whatsoever. This is a great DVD for metalheads like myself to annoy the neighbours with. My advice to you is crank it up and enjoy!
