Your Opinions and Comments

7 / 10
Much better than expected,Sam Raimi`s adaptation of the web-slinger is not as dark as Tim Burton`s "BATMAN" and is closer to Richard Donner`s "Superman".Tobey Maguire is an excellent choice to play the title role but two things bothered me about this movie: Why the Green Goblin? There are lots of better bad guys than him and the F/X make spidey look like a video game character. That aside, this is a pretty enjoyable movie.

Presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, this transfer is pretty good.Minor-edge enhancement is noticable along with some film grain.

The Dobly 5.1 track makes for a pretty good listening experience and Danny Elfman`s score sounds terrific.

On Disc 1 you`ll find 2 commentary tracks :one with Raimi,Grant Curtis,Kirsten Dunst ans Laura Ziskin and the other one with the F/X crew. Both are worth while.
Also on this disc are trailers,TV spots,a neat pop-up fact track to watch during the movie, and web-i-sodes.

The second disc is divided into 2 section:1 dedicated to the movie, the other to the Spider-Man legend. The 1st section features some interesting stuff but some stuff is real filler. The 2nd section is far more interesting.

Worth while pick-up.
