OMG! This movie is so cool. Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, and that hot chick. It`s a damn trippy movie, and you keep watching it over and over again to try and figure out what actually happens.
I really like how Brad Pitt gives everyone the finger. He`s so damn cool. It`s worth buying this DVD just to see Brad Pitt give someone the finger.
I especially like the part how Brad Pitt gives people the finger, and when he says, "These Pochacco are making me thirsty!!" and then he pats the soft duckling that he`s holding him his hands.
A really trippy movie, but in a good way.

This film is amazing and very confusing, which made me love it.

Brillant Performance by Bruce Willis.

The big extra is amazing and goes on for an hour and half, should have chapter indexing but never mind.

This is a brillant DVD

MOVIE
Terry Gilliam is probably one of my favourite directors, as he isn`t affraid to do what he wants to do. As a result, he doesn`t very often get to make the movies he really wants to, but Twelve Monkeys is a fine example of a studio movie that can be critically and comercially successful made by Gilliam. It is certainly his most accessible movie of his solo directing career. The time travelling story of Bruce Willis` Cole character is wonderful, and has a few twists along the way. It is another example of Willis` wonderful acting ability, and he is backed up by a strong cast including a crazy Oscar nominated Brad Pitt and Madeline Stowe. It all builds to a brilliant and quite neat conclusion that ask some good questions, that I won`t state here as it will spoil the film.

VIDEO
A nice transfer, if not the best I have seen. It is a little dingy and dirty in places, and the box states the picture is non anamorphic, but a technical expert would have to back this up. It is a very early release (mine is in a jewel case) so it may be that Universal were testing the market and not really willing to clean up the print a little

AUDIO
The audio is nice and clear, and while again it is not the best I have heard, it is adequete and of a suitable standard.

EXTRAS
Being an early release, there isn`t a lot on the disc, and the incredibly bland menu proves this. It really is an ugly menu screen, and loks like it was put together on Paint. The main, in fact only extra is The Hamster Factor, which is 90 minutes long and goes into some detail about the movie, so it is a very good extra. It`s made by the same people that did the recent Lost in La Mancha, the theatrically released un-making of of Gilliams failed film Don Quioxte. It is a documentary of a very high standard. That`s it I`m affraid, apart from the subtitles, and we don`t get the R1 commentary either. Sorry. Good film though.
