Synopsis:
Written by, and starring action superstar Jet Li (The One, Romeo Must Die) as China`s top government agent Liu Jiuan, who heads off to Paris from Shanghai to assist a corrupt French police inspector called Richard (Tchéky Karyo - The Patriot). When a sensitive, top-secret mission to uncover an international drug conspiracy goes horribly wrong, Liu finds himself accused of murder and on the run in Paris.
Trapped in a vast and deadly conspiracy and accused of a murder he didn`t commit, Liu is thrown together with Jessica (Bridget Fonda - Jackie Brown), an American woman forced into prostitution by Richard. Liu finds himself lost in a physical and moral landscape he can`t comprehend, and despite all his training and learning, he makes a promise to Jessica that could cost him his career - and both their lives.

Kiss of the Dragon has got to be one of the best movies I have seen this year! Jet Li is a God! Using Acupuncture in martial arts moves makes this movie very unique for me.

The story for a martial arts movie is brilliant. I borrowed it from a friend and watched it 5 times in one weekend. The martial arts is brilliant and Jet definitely makes this movie what it is.

I bought it the Monday morning first thing.

Jet Li is the number 1 martial artist out there!

The special features are cool, I normally just have a look at special features but this one I watched the entire lot.

Another of Jet Li`s recent Hollywood films. This one is quite enjoyable as it takes place in Paris and has awesome fight sequences.

A word of warning, there is no plot in this film, some awful performances from Bridget Fonda and Jet Li (struggling with English). Tcheky Karyo is your typical psycho villain who for no apparent reason frames Jet Li for a murder. He is quite good and comes out with soem killer one liners.

Anyway, forget all that. All action fans should watch this film for the sheer brutality of the action scenes. Jet Li produces some of his best ever martial arts work in some bone cruncing, Bruce Lee type encounters with the various enemies. If you liked the fights in Romeo Must Die, you will love this.

The DVD is competent. Although the film lacks a decent plot, acting or directing, it somehow enhances the film. It is one of those enjoyably bad films.

If you enjoy films like Romeo Must Die or the Transporter, you will love this. Worth buying purely for the fights!
