I loved the original film of this so I was really looking forward to it. It started off well, Guy Pearce was actually rather good, I enjoyed his portrayal of the professor a lot, the sets and colours used throughout the first half were great, the effects when the time machine actually travels in time are fantastic, I loved the little touches such as the spider spinning it`s web and the fashion clothing in the shop window chaanging as in the original. Very nice sequence when the camera revolves around the changing landscape and pulls back out beyond the earth, wonderful. However as soon as he reaches his destination with Samantha Mumba and the morlocks it lost all the magic created in the first half and went downhill, only Jeremy Irons as the Uber Morlock could lift it slightly but this was only a very brief encounter. Overall Good but could have been better.

COuldnt agree more... The imaging and effects are stunning, but after the professor reaches the final destination it goes downhill as soon as the morlocks enter the sage... Still, a very nice tale :)
