Synopsis:
Narrated by Elvis` lifelong friend George Klein, Volume 2 of this collection features many of the landmark events in the legendary star`s amazing career. Among the many highlights is his first ever recording, a cover of `My Happiness`. `Shake, Rattle and Roll/Flip, Flop & Fly`, taken from The Dorsey Brothers` Stage Show on 28 January 1956, marked the King`s first ever TV performance. A year later, he would appear on the Ed Sullivan Show performing `Don`t Be Cruel`, and his overtly sexual gyrations caused such an outrage that future performances had to be shot "from the waist up only".
Also featured are numbers from some of the most memorable among Presley`s 31 Hollywood productions. Tracks from the latter part of his career include `American Trilogy` and `You Gave Me A Mountain` taken from `Elvis Aloha From Hawaii`, `You Are Always On My Mind` from `Elvis On Tour` and `If I Can Dream` from `Elvis Comeback Special`. This release also includes rare archive and stills, including Elvis` court appearance for assault, Elvis joining the military in 1958 and his wedding to Priscilla in May 1967.
