It`s been about 2 years since I`ve seen the region 2 version of the movie on DVD. This time, I found the region 4 version on sale, so I bought it and watched it on a 61" TV.
The story is as good as ever. Of course some parts don`t make sense, but I guess that those parts don`t really have to make sense. It`s all about fun and the special effects.
The video transfer is very good. While several scenes seem to lack detail, most of the visuals are stunning. The CG animation is incredible and is seamlessly combined with the background shots.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is extremely powerful. The surrounds will make you think a twister has entered your living room.
Notice that this disk contains multiple soundtracks (same as the region 2 disk), that are only available if your DVD player is multi-region.
The disk contains no extras at all. What a shame!
Bottom line - a highly re-watchable movie with great visuals and sound, but, alas, a bare disk. Recommended.
