When John Rambo refuses the request of his old platoon leader Colonel Trautman for a new mission, he carries on with his new Buddhist life. However, when Colonel Trautman is kidnapped by the soviets at the Afghanistan border, and the American Government are unable to take official action, Rambo decides to take action of his own. THIS TIME IT`S FOR HIS FRIEND."

That brief description of the plot tells you all you need to know about the story in `Rambo 3`. Now any possible hint of intelligence has gone out of the window, in favour of some boys own action. Since this is really the foundation of the Rambo series, then that can not be taken as a criticism, however it must still be noted that `Rambo 3` is the weakest film in the trilogy, because it`s setting of Afghanistan has lost the atmosphere of the Vietnam jungle. Though with recent events there are probably going to be a few people who disagree with that statement, but I personally prefer seeing Rambo in the green jungle, with all of the tree`s for him to hide in.

There`s not much else that I can say about the film without repeating the previous 2 reviews. Like the first 2 films `Rambo 3` is packed to the gills with exciting action, but again this is in place of any intelligent story. If you have liked the series up to this point then you`ll probably like `Rambo 3` but if you don`t like the series, then you wont like it. It really is as simple as that.
