Synopsis:
Ol` Blue-Eyes, Frank Sinatra, leads the line-up in this classic World War 2 epic, with not a song in sight. He portrays Colonel Joseph Ryan, an American POW charged with leading a dangerous escape attempt from a German camp in Italy. Nicknamed `Von Ryan` for his initial concessions to the jailers, his hardest task may be to win the support of the mainly British soldiers under his command.
