A really good drama that didn`t do too well in theaters for reasons unknown to me.
Kline and Christensen both give very good performances and are bound to make your eyes wet (even if you won`t admit it).
The video transfer is very good. There are some wonderful shots where the house is beautifully shot against the ocean and the sunset and all of the shots have great detail, superb colors and no compression signs whatsoever.
The DTS and DD 5.1 soundtracks are both very good. There`s a frequent usage of the surrounds, mostly for sounds you`d hear near the beach (waves, seagulls, etc.).
The musical score is simple yet quite touching.
The menus are beautifully animated with music.
The extras include a commentary (too bad the actors aren`t in it), 2 behind the scenes featurettes, 4 deleted scenes and some production notes.
Bottom line - this movie is all about building a house. Building a relationship. Highly recommended.
