So then, From Dusk Till Dawn 2. There`s no way around it, this movie has a bad rep, and as i loved the original so much i was a little apprehensive about seeing it. It barely ties in with the first movie so if you look at it as a generic straight to rental horror film (despite a very brief stop off at the titty twister) i guess it`s not that bad.

The plot follows a group of bank robbers on their way to mexico, who one-by-one are being turned into vampires by each other. It`s then up to the main protagonist (Robert Patrick) to fight off the undead and team up with the texas ranger who is hunting him down to open a good old can of whoop-ass in a standoff/bloodbath remeniscent of the original movie. There`s a decent amount of gore, but the buildup to the last 20 minutes or so is a little boring now and again

Despite several minor flaws (i.e. a very conveniently timed eclipse) i did manage to squeeze a little enjoyment from this film. Keep an eye out for living b-movie legend Bruce Campbell in the first 5 minutes by the way, and don`t expect too much and you`ll be alright!

Picture : Not bad considering it`s a straight to rental title, the picture is relatively clean throughout.

Audio : Crisp to a certain degree, but nowhere near perfect.

Extras : None to speak of.

Overall : Not a bad movie. You can see the filmmakers didn`t want to retread the original, but it`s a bit TOO loosely tied in with it to call it a sequel. It`s got vampires, Mexico and five minutes in the titty twister. It`s not as bad as you may have heard! The disc however is overall pretty poor though.
