I have finally got to see this DVD after it appeared yesterday in my local Blockbuster for rental. The main reason for my interest is that it stars Sarah Manners who I first saw in the late-night Hollyoaks show on Channel 4. Since then she has been voted one of the sexiest women in the world by FHM magazine. I agree, and in this film we get to see her dancing as a stripper and looking fantastic firing guns during a fun shoot-out. She plays a disturbed runaway and is very convincing. She is an actress to watch out for.

Enough about SM - what about the film? Well I have to admit I really enjoyed it - normally I dont enjoy british thrillers but this was very different and original with some really creepy characters.

The DVD is excellent with a thoughtful directors commentary which describes the pros and cons of making a British action/thriller and there is a hidden extra I found of the casting sessions of the main actors - again featuring Sarah Manners plus some great stills set to music. Nice animated menus and of course lots of Sarah Manners. Visually the film is very strong with a unique feel to the photography.

Finally just to say the film features that famous “Sugar Sugar” song which is very catchy – I’ve been singing it all day!!

Overall a great disc of a stand-out British film.
