Synopsis:
Shaktivelu (Karthik) falls in love with Indhu (Rambha) but learns that his father Marimuthu (Vinu Chakravarthy) has arranged his marriage elsewhere. Shaktivelu and his sidekick uncle then plans to cause havoc during his forced engagement ceremony so that he can marry the girl he love. During the turmoil at the engagement caused by his uncle Shaktivelu slaps the bride’s father only to learn that he is Indhu’s father and the arrange marriage was with the girl he loves. Not realising this he tries to plea with Indhu, but now she doesn’t want thing to do with him.

Indhu and her father move to the city but Shaktivelu is determine to explain to Indhu and her father that what he did was a misunderstanding. But that is only the start of his problems as what further follows is more mayhem and havoc while he tries to once again woo his girlfriend.
