Synopsis:
What would be the consequences when a fun-loving, city savvy boy and a high spirited village belle with dreams in her heart for a big career are on the verge of being thrown together in a binding relationship called marriage by their respective parents?

And what happens when the boy Adi (Madhavan) concocts several plans to sabotage the marriage with complete cooperation with Ganga (Jhotika)? How far would they go with the deviousness and the desperate bid to go their seperate ways.

Adi also from the village, has had time to adapt to life in a big city. The fast life, racy and full of promises seems to be what he wants. Ganga on the other hand - spirited, strong with definite plans of being the first woman engineer from her village - has only one goal in her mind - to get into an engineering college and fulfull her ambitions through that.

Putting a spoke in all this are the fathers, Marutha Pillai and Velu Thambi who one day decide that their respective off springs are completely suited for each other and decide to get them together in matrimony. The marriage is fixed much to the dismay of the two. What are they going to do now?
