Synopsis:
From the director of such classics as Hamburger Hill and Raw Deal, John Irvin`s `The Dogs Of War` stars Christopher Walken as Paul Shannon, a mercenary, who whilst on a reconnaissance mission in the African nation of Zangora is captured, horrifically tortured and eventually deported. Whilst back in New York, Shannon assembles his unit including Drew (Tom Berenger) and heads back to Zangora. This time Shannon takes with him a small army and overthrows the government in order to install a puppet dictator who is more sympathetic to his employers cause.

Adapted from Frederick Forsyth`s best selling novel and with some fantastic character acting from Walken, `The Dogs OF War` is an original and intelligent action film.
