Your Opinions and Comments
This is a great film with a great story which although a little blunt at times keeps the viewer involved. It is only a shame that they did not bother to take the same quality to the DVD.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs and the CG looks awesome. Actually, it is occasionally superior even compared to more recent movies. Yeah, that good. Alas, this disk is a flipper.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. the surrounds are constantly used for bugs` noises (and quite a lot of them).
The menus are all still and silent.
The disk contains no extras whatsoever.
Bottom line - a very enjoyable movie, which is presented in a pretty awful disk.
Two remarks:
1. Van Dien was 29 when the movie was shot and in no way can he pass as a high school graduate.
2. The shower scene alone is enough to make the movie R rated and not PG-13 rated, and that`s without mentioning the CG violence throughout the rest of the movie.
