First of all, let me say, that my version of the movie was a local region 2 version with a fullscreen transfer, 2 soundtracks (English and Hebrew) and very few extras.
I was really certain this was going to be a cute little animated feature.
Boy, was I wrong. This is the single most fascist piece of animation I`ve ever seen and I wouldn`t recommend it to ANY child or young teenage. The amount of fascism displayed is so overwhelming, that it makes you think whether the creators of this movie had any secret agendas.
The fullscreen transfer is ok. While the frame is mercilessly chopped, the transfer does not reveal any compression signs. The animation is mostly ok, yet not ground (or water) breaking.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is good. The surrounds are nicely used for several sound effects. The songs in the movie are very average.
The Hebrew DD 5.1 soundtrack would`ve been great for the kids, but, alas, I pity the fool who`d let his/her children watch this movie.
The menus are still with music.
The extras include 2 very short behind the scenes featurettes.
Bottom line - a totally inadequate movie which should`ve got at least an R rating. Make sure your kids avoid it.

This is harmless good clean fun for all the family. Fly, his sister and his cousin go fishing and discover a secret place where a crazy fish scientist lives. Fly`s sister accidently swallows one of his potions, turns into a fish and is tossed into the sea. When Fly realises whats happened, he has himself and his cousin turned into a fish to find his sister. The scientist tosses the antedote down with them into the sea so they can become human again. But the antedote falls into the wrong hands..........

The picture is pretty neat but I didnt feel it is as good as can be. Whether it was because of the cheap single layer used or the transfer in general, the movie lacked the clarity and sharpness we see in Disney or Dreamworks animations. Alas it is wrong to compare this to them as it is an independant Danish production. The quality of the animation is pretty good but not spectacular like most hollywood animation these days.

The soundtrack is pretty good. We have a choice of DD 5.1 and 2.0 soundtracks, both of which are clear and sharp. The english dubbing of the movie includes voices provided by the menacing Alan Rickman and the hilarious Terry Jones.

There are quite a few extras packed into the disc, really good for an independant release. There are US and UK trailers, Music Video, Short Making Of, Multi Angle Scene comparisons, Cast and crew filmographies and interviews, character profiles, image gallery and a written statement from the director. As you can see there is plenty here and other studios should take a note from these guys.

If you dont look in too deep and over analyse the movie, you will find it to be an average animated affait that at times can be fun. The dvd is well done with quite a few extras. This is a budget dvd that you can pick up for under a fiver anywhere and is one you might want to consider getting at that price.
