This film is awesome. Thought provoking, powerful and deeply entertaining. The UK (region 2) DVD has a few special features such as 3 deleted scenes, which I didn`t think should have been in the film anyway and weren`t particularly insightful save one of them. You won`t be buying this DVD for the extras, but who cares, the film is a must have for any serious collection.

This is an absolutley incredible film, intelligent without being patronising and powerful without being corny. The story unfolds through the eyes of 17 year old danny ( Edward Furlong) as he witnesse`s his racist brothers release from jail and writes a report about what he recalls from his and his brother`s past called American History X. Everything about this film oozes class, from the moody lighting and camera angles to the script, and Ed Norton`s absolutley incredible performance( oscar nomination). The picture on the disk is excellent and so is the sound, there are`t many extra`s but the film gives the impression that perhaps not many were available. However the trailer alone makes up for this. This might sound a bit sad but if you love trailers like i do you`ll see what i mean.Overall this is a brilliant film for serious film fans everywhere.
